OK, I know it has been a while since I last updated and I wont make a habit of it anymore. I want to catchup on all the interesting things I have done this month. Hope everyone had a Hoppy Easter full of candy and coding.
UCF has one of the three University Astronomy towers in the nation. So I thought I would pay a visit to explore the deep space. I have always been interested in science and space even since I was little. Some of my earliest memories include playing with the telescopes and magnetic spinning tops at the local “Earth and Space“, “Noodle Kidoodle“, and hobby shoppes. I still to this day get a thrill when I find anything that has to do with science and space.
Our Astronomy class went as a team to the dark side of the campus off a short unpaved road near the “hidden forest” at UCF. Close to where they shot the very popular independent movie “The Blair Witch Project“. The huge tower has one giant telescope powered by computer and used mostly for research and deep space photography. Outside included some smaller telescopes pointed at Saturn, Pollux, and Andromeda. I was able to snap a few shots through the telescope with my digital camera, they turned out amazingly well. Everyone was shocked to find out my handy dandy Canon Powershot took such great pictures. More to come, stay tuned.
