I recently came across a new networking site called LinkedIn, thanks to the president of the Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization (formerly known as the Student Entrepreneur Society), in which I am actively involved in on campus. From what I can tell it is a great social networking site to organize many contacts and businesses that can help recommend or find new businesses. On the financial aspect, this service is very successful in gaining help and support from Venture Capitalists and Angel investors.
Professional social network LinkedIn will announce a previously rumored $12.8 million round of financing on Monday, led by Bessemer and the European Founders Fund. The company, which has been profitable since March 2006, has raised $13.4 million in two previous rounds of financing, bringing the total to more than $26 million.
The company had something north of $10 million in revenue in 2006, and says they’ll do substantially more than that in 2007. The company is continuing to grow and hit financial success. LinkedIn has 70 employees, up from 45 a year ago. They claim 9 million worldwide users, and are adding 100,000 or so new users per week. Thanks to TechCrunch.com

Through networking, I came across an amazing and interesting business parter who has a lucrative company called “Wealth 411” involved with financial advising and investing. She presented me with a portfolio of styles and colors needed to create a professional, bold and simplistic business card and logo for her self-made company. We are both very happy with the final result, I can definitely see this on a corporate billboard or promotional media.
I am in love with meeting new people and establishing a business bond, because I always think you never know who you will meet that can immensely benefit your future.
On a side note to the readers, can someone recommend a quality printer who can print non-traditional business cards, such as rounded corners or transparent/translucent cards or even possibly metal like Woz. Haha, okay that is too intense. I would really appreciate it! Thanks again to all my new subscribers. 🙂
[Update] You can buy metal, yes metal, business cards from this site. For $1.80 each (at 500), it would definitely be a way to impress your clients!

You are amazing! Very clean, sharp and modern. I want you to do my next job. I would also like to know a printer who can do that. Keep up the great work.
